Mt. Hood Skibowl is ready for the holidays with the Snow Tube & Adventure Park open seven days a week starting Friday December 19th, and a host of events to keep everyone entertained. We have been able to make over three feet of snow with our snowmaking machines, ensuring there will be plenty of snow for the tube hill.
SNOW TUBE & ADVENTURE PARK
The Snow Tube and Adventure Park at Skibowl East will be open every day from December 19th to January 4th, from 10:00am to 4:00pm (10:00am - 3:00pm Chirstmas Eve) – including Christmas Day. The opening includes the tube hill conveyor lift, indoor play structure and the Multorpor Lodge. Zipline and 6 story Tree Top Plunge tours are open as well by reservation or appointed times. Full food service is available in the lodge with the Multorpor café serving breakfast, lunch and dinner; and the 70 Meter Bar and Grill featuring gourmet burgers and custom drink specials. There is always a cozy fire going in two fireplaces for that perfect place to warm up in between tubing runs.
COSMIC TUBING
Cosmic Tubing® will be open every night (except for Christmas Eve Night) from December 19th to January 3rd, from 5:00pm to 10:00pm. On Friday and Saturday nights Cosmic Tubing is open until 11:00pm, and until 1:00am on New Year’s Eve. The world’s first and only, Cosmic Tubing is like day tubing on steroids with colored lights, rocking music, laser shows, DJ nights and fireworks every third Saturday starting in December. Experience an entirely new way to have fun on the snow. 100 new, neon, four person tubes have been added to the tubing fleet. 200,000 LED lights and a new laser light show have been added as well to make the experience out of this world. If you haven't tried it yet you are missing a fun time!
SANTA CLAUS VISITS
Santa Claus will be visiting December 20th and 21st from 11:00am – 2:00pm. Head to the Snow Tube & Adventure Park at Skibowl east and let Santa know what you want for Christmas. He will be visiting the tube hill, and then setting up shop in front of the cozy fireplace inside the Multorpor Lodge. There will be picture taking opportunities and treats for the kids.
SATURDAY NIGHT LIGHTS FIREWORKS
Stay at the Snow Tube & Adventure Park for the December 20th “Saturday Night Lights” firework display! A live DJ will start the fun at 7:00pm, with a spectacular fireworks show at 8:00pm over the tube hill.
GOVERNMENT CAMP TREE LIGHTING & SANTA
Government Camp will light the towns Christmas tree at 6:00pm on Saturday December 20th. Complimentary donuts, coffee and hot chocolate will be provided. Santa will arrive on a special fire truck from the Hoodland Fire Department and be available for children to meet. Located next to Huckleberry Inn in Government Camp.
NEW YEARS EVE EXTRAVAGANZA
Celebrate New Year’s Eve with the best party on the mountain. We will celebrate 27 years of our legendary midnight fireworks extravaganza with a host of events; including skiing-riding until 2:00am, fireworks at Skibowl West and East at midnight, Cosmic Tubing until 1:00am, a torchlight parade down the Lower Bowl, multiple beer gardens and DJ “Zimmie” headlining the entertainment at Skibowl West with a second DJ at the Snow Tube & Adventure Park.
All these events will happen rain or shine, with or without snow (but we hope there will be lots of snow!) so come on up and enjoy the holiday season at the mountain!
