Mt. Hood Skibowl is Making Snow & OPEN for President’s Day Weekend with multiple events and activities scheduled for throughout the weekend!
We are developing an application/process to make snow at any temperature, allowing for the tube hill to remain open for this holiday weekend despite warm temperatures and lack of natural snow.
The new snow application/process will give the Snow Tube and Adventure Park at Skibowl East a fresh layer of snow and allow for the continued operation of day tubing and the world’s only Cosmic Tubing® for the President’s Day weekend and beyond. Cosmic Tubing®, which features over 600,000 LED lights, laser shows, colored & black lights and rocking music; will be open Friday and Saturday night 5pm – 11pm, and Sunday night from 5pm – 10pm. Day tubing will be open Sat-Mon 10am – 4pm.
The “7th Annual 80’s Night Cosmic Tubing®” Night is Friday 2-13-15 from 5pm – 11pm and features an 80’s fashion contest, prizes and giveaway’s from Next Adventure, and $5 off a three hour Cosmic Tubing session if you show up in 80’s gear.
Find romance in the mountains with the “Valentine’s Weekend Special” that features a private table for two in the fireplace lounge at Multorpor Lodge, a bottle of Champagne or Sparkling Cider, chocolate covered strawberries and all night Cosmic Tubing® tickets for only $89. Join Skibowl for the third installment of “Saturday Night Lights” celebration with a firework display at the Snow Tube & Adventure Park at 8pm Saturday 2-14-15. Warm up after the show in the Multorpor Lodge featuring the 70 Meter Bar & Grill.

The Ratskeller Bar & Pizzeria was recently voted the “Best Après Ski Bar” in Oregon by readers of the Oregonian newspaper and Oregonlive.com. Located in the heart of Government Camp, the Ratskeller offers great pizza, daily specials and the biggest screen on the mountain to watch sporting events. The Ratskeller is open daily at 11am – 12am or later.
The High Mountain Café, also located in the Ratskeller Building, has the best breakfast and lunch options in Government Camp. Let the kids have some fun in the Ratskeller Arcade next door while you enjoy a hot coffee specialty drink. The Café is open daily 8am – 6pm.
Collins Lake Resort is a full service resort, featuring 151 townhouses, heated outdoor pool, hot tub, outdoor leisure pool, sauna and a private clubhouse. We are impatiently waiting for the next big snow storm and will re-open the ski lifts once enough base is built again. History has shown that late February, March and April can provide large winter storms that deposit feet of snow in a short time. The snowpack on Mt. Hood typically peaks in mid-April and skiing at Skibowl has gone into May on several seasons.
