First of Several Snowfalls Starts Christmas Eve
We finally have some very good news to report. It appears snow will begin accumulating at Government Camp around sunrise Wednesday and continue through the afternoon. This will be our first "cold" storm of the season, which means snow sticks down close to 2,000'.
How much snow?
8-10" total by the time Santa is flying around after sunset Wednesday
8" or so at the base and 10" on the top of Upper Bowl.
Long Range: Here's even more good news. An inch or two is possible both Christmas Day and the day after. Then another cool system brings a nice dump of snow Saturday. Another 4-8" is possible that day. If our forecasts are correct, 15-25" could fall between now and Sunday morning at Skibowl! Snow levels remain at or below 4,000' from Wednesday through early next week. Click on the image below for a larger view of the next 7 days.
