With the recent snow storm, cold temps and constant making of snow with our snow machines, this weekend, December 7-8, and next weekend, December 14-15 (2013), Mt Hood Skibowl will open up the West Rope Tow Terrain Park and the Parking Lot Rope Tow. The Olympic Ski and Snowboard School will open and operate on the Parking Lot Rope Tow. Skibowl's award winning terrain park groomer, Randall Platt, will be in action all this week setting features for the terrain park on the West Rope Tow. Season passes will be valid for the West Rope Tow Terrain Park and tickets can be purchased for a discounted $20.
Dec 7-8 and Dec 14-15 Weekend Operating Schedule:
- West Rope Tow Terrain Park - open 10am to 5pm (season passes are valid and tickets are discounted to $20)
- Parking Lot Rope Tow - open 10am to 5pm for ski and snowboard lessons through the Olympic Ski and Snowboard School
- Snow Tube and Adventure Park - open Friday 6pm to 11pm for Cosmic Tubing; open Saturday 10am to 5pm for day tubing and 6pm to 11pm for Cosmic Tubing; open Sunday 10am to 5pm for day tubing.
At Skibowl East, Multorpor Lodge and the slopeside 70 Meters Bar & Grill will be open a half hour before the Snow Tube and Adventure Park and close a half hour after the Snow Tube and Adventure Park.
At Skibowl West, guest services, the retail shop, rental shop, ski school and Starlight Cafe will be open from 9:30am to 5:30pm on Saturday and Sunday, December 7-8. The Beer Stube will be open from 11am to 6pm for lunch, dinner.
For additional snow activities, visit our recreation outfitter and guide service, Mt. Hood Adventure, for details on snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, sleigh rides and more. They offer guided tours and equipment rentals as well as their normal expertise of the Mt. Hood area.
