Powder Alert: For Friday, February 7th

Fresh Snow For The Weekend!

Good news on two fronts, a wetter (whiter) storm will arrive on Mt. Hood tomorrow, expect heavy snow at times for night skiing.  This system brings much milder air.  Expect temperatures up around 20-25 degrees instead of the single digits; far better than the extreme cold we've seen the past few days.

The Details:

Just a few flurries in the morning, then snow arrives mid-late afternoon.  Snow continues through tomorrow night and then tapers off Saturday morning.

How much?

  • 6-10" is likely at Skibowl Base Area & Gov't Camp by Saturday morning
  • 8-12" on the Upper Bowl

Lots more snow coming starting Sunday night and Monday; next week appears to give us more snow than any other week so far this winter.
