Skibowl is excited to begin the first of three rail jams scheduled for this winter. The dates of the contests are January 4th, February 1st and March 1st.
4-F stands for Fan Favorite Feature Friday, where riders are able to submit their ideas for features they would like to see in the event. The Park Crew then incorporates those requests into the design of the course. Troy Fischer the Operations Manager states, “Riders know what they like and we want to give it to them.” Competitors will have exclusive use of the features during the event. With a 61” base and cold temperatures, the weather is perfect for being on the mountain.
The jams will be located at the West Rope Tow under the bright lights of America’s Largest Night Ski Area. Open registration for each event is in Guest Services from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. Practice runs are also allowed from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. The event is from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with awards to follow at 7:30pm. Helmets are strongly recommended and participants under 18 must have a release signed by an adult. The releases may be downloaded from the Skibowl website.
This year the 4-F series is sponsored by Auviq, a lifestyle brand and clothing line as well as Dakine, Skull Candy, Exit Real World, GoPro, Celtek, Salomon and Vans.
